There are 2 options for curing the problem, heat the roots to at least.

Feb 12, Several things could be wrong. When young leaves (those near the end of shoots) turn yellow, we ususally consider an iron deficiency to be the cause. High pH, high phosphorous and of course low soil iron levels all can result in iron deficiency symptoms. If older leaves are yellowing, nitrogen may be deficient.

I am having a heck of a time with an orange tree. The leaves are turning yellow and falling off. I think I have narrowed it down to either an iron deficiency or the roots are way too wet, but I am certainly no expert.

If it has been a while yrs I would suggest a repotting.

I have pictures posted at: Any help would be greatly appreciated. Update 08 16 the new video on the importance of trees in Mesa Az.

Is finaly done and can be viewd at treelopping.buzz Citrus trees/plants need to dry out a bit before watering. If you keep your tree moist all the time its most likely suffering from root rot. This will cause the leaves to yellow and fall off because its not able to breathe.

In a sense its drowning. The soil must be well draining to allow air movement around the roots.

Feb 05, You need to determine why the leaves are falling off. The 2 main reasons are root rot (from too much water/compacted soil) and the cold root/sunlight combination mentioned earlier.

When was the last change of potting soil? If it has been a while ( yrs) I would suggest a repotting. There are other causes, as Junglekeeper mentioned low humidity.
